"Don't even think about it! If something happens to you one day, I'll definitely react even more fiercely than Su Kang." Chi Moqing rejected her before she could even speak, as if he knew what she was going to say.

Yan Zuozuo was somewhat surprised: "How did you know what I was going to say?"

Chi Moqing flicked her forehead: "I knew it, so you have to be careful and don't get into any trouble, understand?"

Yan Zuozuo felt increasingly sorry for Su Kang. He was torn between his family and his lover, putting him in a difficult position. She patted his shoulder, "Zixin is just injured. She'll be fine after surgery. Don't be like this. Otherwise, if your health collapses, who will take care of her?"

Su Kang looked like he had been crying last night; his eyes were red. He silently took the breakfast from Yan Zuozuo and ate it in big mouthfuls. It was as if he had no taste buds; he just kept stuffing food into his mouth, which made Yan Zuozuo feel heartbroken.

She sat down beside him apologetically: "I misunderstood you before. Seeing how you treat Zixin, I feel relieved."

Su Kang didn't speak, paused while eating, and then started putting food into his mouth again.

At 9:30, Fu Zixin's attending physician arrived, explained the surgery details, completed the necessary procedures, and then wheeled Fu Zixin to the operating room. Although the doctor said it was a minor surgery and there would be no aftereffects, they were still very nervous, their hearts pounding in their throats.

Seeing Su Kang's pale face, Yan Zuozuo went over to comfort him, "Don't worry about him, Zixin will be fine."

The surgery itself wasn't very long, about an hour and a half. However, the wait felt incredibly long to them. The two of them paced back and forth outside the operating room, anxiously awaiting the outcome.

Finally, the operating room door opened, and Fu Zixin was wheeled out. Yan Zuozuo rushed over and grabbed the doctor's arm tightly, asking, "How is she recovering?"

The attending physician wiped the sweat from his forehead: "The surgery was very successful. He just needs to rest for a while."

Yan Zuozuo finally breathed a sigh of relief. She turned around and was about to share her joy with Su Kang when she saw him standing there as if he were frozen in place, a crystal tear rolling down his cheek. Hearing Su Kang's voice, Yan Zuozuo quickly moved closer, but Fu Zixin still hadn't opened her eyes. Yan Zuozuo grew anxious, "Zixin, wake up! It's me, Zuozuo..."

After a long while, Fu Zixin finally opened her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out of her throat.

Yan Zuozuo and Su Kang exclaimed in surprise, "Zixin, you're awake!"

Fu Zixin strained to speak, managing to squeeze out a single sentence, "Zuo Zuo... Su Kang..."

Yan Zuozuo immediately burst into tears, covered her mouth, turned around, and ran out. Zixin was finally alright, she was finally alright. She leaned against the wall outside the ward, sobbing uncontrollably.

In the ward, Fu Zixin glanced outside the door and knew that Yan Zuozuo was crying. She forced a smile. This silly girl, isn't she alright?
