Chapter 795 - 794: The Dowager Kane’s Fate
She didn’t want it, she didn’t want anything!
Serena Sullivan saw Finn Chandler agree, thinking about whether to arrange a dinner, at the dinner to reveal Finn’s identity to Julian Ford, and then maybe Ethan Grant could help.
However, right now, the most important thing for the two of them was to solve their lunch plans.
Serena was arranging Finn’s matters, when Ethan received a call urging her to go for a follow-up appointment.
Serena’s health was the most important thing to the Sterling Family and Ethan Grant.
She needed to go to the hospital, and everyone wanted to go with her, but with too many people, Serena felt odd, so she let Wyatt Sterling and Ethan Grant accompany her for the check-up.
Compared to the previous visits to the hospital, Ethan Grant was in much better spirits; when he heard Julian say there was nothing serious, he was even happier. Before long, a call came in, and Ethan asked Wyatt to stay with Serena while he went out to take it.
It was Elliot Walsh calling, and on the phone, Young Master Walsh briefly stated his intentions.
"Are you going to marry Felicity Sterling?"
When Ethan asked, he frowned, and upon hearing the very firm response from Young Master Walsh, he still advised, "Think it through!"
"Yes!"
Elliot Walsh replied, "Marrying her might be good for everyone."
Elliot knew what kind of person Felicity Sterling was; he hadn’t become blind because of love.
A few days ago, The Dowager Kane returned from The Sterling Family’s old house and talked about their favoritism towards Serena Sullivan. He didn’t anger and demand accountability from The Sterling Family but instead advised Felicity to let it go.
"I know she has many flaws, but no one is perfect."
"Once we’re married, she won’t keep obsessing."
This was Elliot Walsh’s thinking; he already liked Felicity Sterling, and since they had crossed personal boundaries, marriage became a necessary step.
Elliot Walsh was so steadfast that Ethan Grant didn’t continue to persuade him, "Okay!"
"About attending the wedding, I’ll check with Serena."
Ethan didn’t accept Elliot Walsh’s invitation; he still wanted to ask Serena.
"Thank you!"
Elliot Walsh sincerely said, "I understand you guys don’t like Felicity, and maybe after we’re married, I’ll take her somewhere else to start anew."
Elliot Walsh didn’t want Felicity Sterling to remain entangled with Serena Sullivan’s matters; he hoped to be her salvation.
However, Felicity Sterling had buried herself long ago in obsession and jealousy.
"Okay!"
Ethan replied, inadvertently turning to see an elderly woman in a wheelchair not far away.
The old woman’s hair was snow-white; her face was haggard and aged, and her eyes lacked the sharpness they once had. She hardly resembled the imposing Dowager Kane they had known but instead looked like a pitiful old woman tormented by illness, on the verge of losing her life.
"Ethan..."
Whatever Elliot Walsh was saying on the phone, Ethan didn’t hear. He came back to his senses and ended the call with Elliot Walsh.
As he put down his phone, he heard unpleasant cursing.
"You damned old woman, why did you wet yourself again!"
Ethan looked up to see liquid flowing from the wheelchair under Dowager Kane.
She might have noticed him looking at her, turning her head towards him, those eyes so woeful and worn that it was impossible to associate them with the once domineering old woman of the Ford Family.
"You old bag of bones, see how I’ll deal with you today!"
The servant continued cursing, and Mrs. Kane appeared at the end of the hallway, not stopping the maid’s insults.
