Chapter 25 Taming the Odo Satellite Dragon: Bad News and Good News
Chapter 25 Taming the Odo Satellite Dragon: Bad News and Good News
"Come here, I'll give you something delicious."
Lance's will, along with the Force, was transmitted to the Odo satellite dragon.
Odo Satellite Dragon was slightly taken aback, sensing the aura of that kind two-legged beast surrounding it.
At the same time, a voice echoed in my mind.
It didn't understand what that meant, but the word "eat" seemed to trigger a keyword.
Suddenly, its eyes lit up.
A struggle flashed in its eyes, but after hesitating for a long time, hunger finally prevailed.
"The food that the two-legged creature gave us was a beneficial animal."
It slowly crawled out from behind the rock and stopped a dozen meters away from the spaceship.
My ingrained vigilance tells me that this is the safest position.
Omega sat in the driver's seat, covering his mouth, staring in shock at the fog ahead.
Through the thick fog, the outline of a huge beast could be vaguely seen.
Lance sensed the resistance from the Odo satellite dragon.
No matter how he tried to entice him, the guy just wouldn't come any closer.
"Is it because there aren't enough cat treats?"
He then took Echo's flashlight, combining the two to see if it could resist the temptation.
The two flashlights were gently tossed into the air and landed steadily in my hands.
The Odo Satellite Dragon's big golden eyes bobbed up and down, making its mouth water.
It couldn't help but raise one of its forelegs and take a step forward, but then immediately pulled it back.
It was both greedy and timid; it saw delicious food in front of it, but never dared to approach.
It tickled so hard it felt so good.
The Odo Satellite Dragon paced around in a panic, letting out a low growl.
Seeing this, Lance simply took a few steps forward and tossed the flashlight in his hand again.
To his slight surprise, the Odo Satellite Dragon also took a few steps forward.
"Is it afraid to get closer because there are too many people on the spaceship?"
He took a few more steps forward, and the other person did the same.
Moments later, the two sides met in the thick fog, just a step away.
"Delicious food, exchange, home."
Lance transmitted his thoughts again, this time in a simplified form.
The Odo Satellite Dragon tilted its large head, as if pondering the meaning of the voice in its mind, but its gaze remained fixed on the flashlight.
Lance patiently communicated with him several times.
It seemed to finally get the hang of it, letting out a low growl.
Lance breathed a sigh of relief; it hadn't been easy.
"Take us to your cave, understand?"
He tossed a flashlight over and then said:
"This is the deposit."
"If you take the money, you have to do the job; that's the rule."
The Odo Satellite Dragon snatched the flashlight in its mouth, and its body glowed eerily once again.
The glow disappeared in just a few seconds.
The flashlight had been sucked dry and fell to the ground.
"roar."
The Odo Satellite Dragon growled at him, picked up the flashlight again, and turned to walk into the depths of the mist.
"nailed it."
"Hunter, Technician, follow behind me."
Lance pulled out a communicator from his pocket and followed closely behind.
"receive."
With a huge weight lifted from their hearts, the group breathed a sigh of relief.
The hunter put away his communicator and led the technician into the thick fog.
Omega watched the two figures gradually disappear and couldn't help but speak:
Where are they going?
Echo turned around and continued repairing the faulty wiring:
"Go find something in the cave of the Odo Satellite Dragon."
Omega's eyes widened immediately:
"Isn't that very dangerous?"
The echo re-inserts the soldered wires back into the groove and secures the metal plate:
"Don't worry, Lance is a Jedi."
"They can communicate with wild beasts through the Force."
Omega paused slightly, a strong sense of curiosity flashing in his eyes.
......
As they ventured deeper, the surrounding terrain became increasingly rugged.
Thick fog billowed, and jagged rocks stood out.
Lance walked steadily and moved nimbly, following behind the Odo Satellite Dragon at a leisurely pace.
The hunter, with his formidable tracking ability, kept close behind.
About ten minutes later.
The Odo satellite dragon finally stopped in front of a hole.
"roar."
It turned around, let out a low growl, and its gaze locked onto the "cat treat" in Lance's hand once again.
This is to ask him for the remaining payment.
Lance sensed its eager and expectant emotions, but instead of throwing the flashlight over directly as he had done before.
Instead, place it in the palm of your hand.
Odo Satellite Dragon hesitated for a moment, but ultimately could not resist the temptation of "Cat Sticks".
It cautiously approached and slowly opened its enormous mouth.
Lance then put the flashlight into its mouth.
The next second, a faint glow emanated from its body once again.
Lance looked at the huge creature in front of him, slowly raised his hand, and approached it.
The Odo Satellite Dragon merely glanced at him but did not stop him, remaining immersed in the joy of absorbing energy.
It did not resist when Lance's palm touched its soft, smooth fur.
Lance gently stroked its shoulder, waiting for the hunter and technician to arrive.
After absorbing the energy, the Odo Satellite Dragon even rubbed against him.
Lance's lips curled up involuntarily, and then he naturally began to pet the "big cat".
He was completely oblivious to the guy's subtle movements.
A few minutes later.
The two figures finally arrived.
But when they saw the scene before them, they both froze on the spot.
The ferocious Odo satellite dragon was now lying quietly on the ground, letting Lance rub its head.
His eyes were slightly narrowed, and he looked completely relaxed.
When the two appeared, it immediately opened its eyes and looked at them warily.
"Don't worry, they're on our side."
Lance gently patted its head, while subtly channeling his Force to soothe its emotions with his self-created Jedi Hypnosis technique.
The wariness in Odo Satellite Dragon's eyes gradually dissipated, and it narrowed its eyes again.
The hunter watched this scene with a complicated expression, lowering his voice:
Are all Jedi masters beast tamers?
Lance looked at him and answered seriously:
"Not entirely."
"It's actually very simple: have good intentions, and feed them a few times."
"However, this trick only works on non-aggressive animals."
The technician pushed up his glasses, his voice filled with amazement:
"I have never seen such a docile Odo satellite dragon, it's incredible."
Lance pointed to the hole next to him:
"Go in and look around, see if you can find anything useful."
The hunter and the technician nodded, then went into the cave one after the other.
The passage was narrow and winding, leading in all directions, so they had to crawl along it like cooing insects.
Fortunately, with the hunter leading the way, they soon arrived at the true lair of the Odo Satellite Dragon.
They emerged from the narrow passage, sat up, and looked around.
A large number of broken electronic components and energy modules were piled up in the corner.
The technician's eyes lit up immediately, and he stepped forward to examine the patient:
"The bad news is that these electronic components are damaged to varying degrees."
The hunter frowned slightly:
"And what's the good news?"
The technician turned to look at him and waved the part in his hand:
"It can be used with just a little modification."
"Based on my calculations, they should be able to restore about 60% of the spaceship's functionality, which should be enough for us to leave this planet."
