Deceitful Game

Chapter 201 [The Spider Game]

Chapter 201 [The Spider Game]

Chapter 201 [The Spider Game]

At a strange point of exertion, Mingpo suddenly felt his fingers loosen abruptly.

He opened the spider's abdomen, revealing a strange, round, empty compartment. It could probably only fit a small kumquat.

"Oh?"

Seeing Mingpo's actions, Shen Yiqi exclaimed in surprise.

He bent down and leaned closer: "You actually managed to tinker with something—"

At that very moment—except for Shi Yao, who had just woken up and was unaware of what had happened, everyone else turned their attention to this.

They all realized that the spider statue's abdomen could be opened, so they each took out their own spiders and tried to replicate Mingpo's actions.

Just then, the last person woke up.

A disturbing title slowly appeared above the bald, burly man's head:

—【The Chainsaw Massacre】

Oh wow.

All eyes turned to him, with meaningful glances.

If nothing unexpected happens, this should also be a unique title.

Including Mingpo's "Silent Lamb" and Shen Yiqi's "Mechanical Pioneer", there are at least three unique titles in this game.

At that moment, the host finally arrived.

However, that was not ink.

Instead, it was a completely unfamiliar host whom Mingpo had never met before.

—Clearly, he had mistakenly entered the game room of the other hosts.

"Hahahaha—"

'

A crazy, crisp sound rang out from the center of the table.

At the very center of the table, something appeared—

—A loaf of bread?

Almost everyone was stunned for a moment.

Yes, it's just a loaf of bread. To be precise, it's an uncut chocolate toast.

It was drizzled with melted chocolate syrup and emitted an extremely fragrant aroma. It was also decorated with pink and white, circle or cane-shaped candies, just like a little girl's hair clip.

But if these candies are hair clips and those chocolates are hair, then wouldn't this bread be equivalent to a head?

It's already strange enough that a cat has an eyeball hanging on its body, Mingpo thought she wouldn't find any host strange anymore.

But it was indeed the first time he had ever seen such a strange "thing".

Only Shen Yiqi stood with his arms crossed and a calm expression.

"Your TV host?"

Mingpo asked in a low voice.

Shen Yiqi shrugged and said nothing.

"It's me! It's me! This is my child!"

The chocolate toast bounced around, seemingly quite proud—perhaps.

The voice sounded like that of a little girl or boy who hadn't gone through puberty yet.

She has that shrill voice typical of "kids"—very high-pitched and loud, which can be a bit of a headache to listen to.

"Welcome, welcome everyone!"

The girl's voice was very loud, sharp yet slightly sweet: "Let me introduce myself, my name is Hansel and Greta!"

You can just call me Greta!

"Welcome to my game—Spider Game!"

As her voice faded, the lights suddenly came on.

The originally dim room instantly became as bright as day.

The sudden brightness was a bit too much for everyone to handle; it was almost blinding. Low curses and complaints rose up, and almost simultaneously, everyone covered their eyes.

Mingpo narrowed his eyes slightly and looked around.

He finally saw the door clearly.

Above each door is written a Chinese character.

The direction that Mingpo sees is the first one. Moving clockwise downwards, the directions are:

Open, Rest, Life, Injury, Block, Scene, Death, Shock.

"—The Eight Gates Golden Lock Formation?"

Mingpo blurted out.

Almost everyone present was Chinese, so they were obviously familiar with this.

Except for the bald man who was the last to wake up, almost everyone's expression changed.

"Let me explain the rules! Look at me!"

Greta jumped around, scattering chocolate syrup everywhere: "Although two of you are incredibly daring pseudo-golden men, this is a genuine [Weekly] level game!"

"Great rewards, exciting gameplay! If you're unlucky, only one person might survive!"

The girl with the chocolate toast smiled happily.

Mingpo narrowed her eyes.

Hansel and Gretel—the names sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite place them. However, the host's demeanor made Mingper suspect she might be the host of the "Domain of Slaughter." This gave him a bad feeling.

"Candy House"

Seemingly noticing Mingpo's confusion, Old Shen whispered a reminder: "The one from Grimm's Fairy Tales."

"----oh."

With this reminder, Mingpo immediately remembered.

These are the names of the brother and sister who accidentally wandered into the forest in the Candy House animation.

—Based on a fairy tale, it feels possible that she might also be a Moon Silver, like the Red Queen.

But this mental state—it doesn't seem like someone who could normally live to see the Moon Silver.

Is this the consequence of being completely corrupted by titles?

"Okay, okay, let's look at the rules!"

[Spider Game]

[Multiplayer game, no faction restrictions, no random players]

[Difficulty: 4 week]

[Maximum number of people who can complete the level: 3]

This game does not have any additional rules, hidden quests, or a special world setting.

Then, the rules of the game became clear to everyone.

[The eight gates will open for three minutes in three minutes.]

Each player chooses one door to enter. Players can choose multiple doors, meaning multiple people can enter through a single door.

Behind each door is a forking "Y"-shaped path, leading to a transparent glass door that connects to the end of the next door. The glass door cannot be broken.

The glass door requires two people to use the "Spider Token" simultaneously to open it for three minutes.

If the tokens come from both sides, it is considered an "exchange," and the two parties can switch to different passages, but the number of people on the left and right sides of the door cannot be changed.

If the tokens come from the same side, it is considered an "intrusion," and there is no limit to the number of people allowed to enter the other side.

Once a glass door has been opened, it cannot be opened again within thirty minutes.

Every thirty minutes, all the gates will temporarily open, and the spider spirits will begin their "hunt."

The Spider Spirit will enter a random door to hunt. It is extremely powerful and will kill any life it sees. Players cannot defeat it.

After patrolling the two forks in the road, the spider spirit will return to the hall to rest, and the gate will close again. The next time it hunts, it will randomly choose one of the two doors adjacent to the one it chose last time. Players need to collect "eyeballs" while avoiding the spider spirit and store them in the belly of their spider keepsake.

After collecting eight "eyeballs," the Spider Token will glow. At this point, the token can be used to subdue the Spider Spirit upon contact, transforming it into a token that stores the Spider Spirit. Returning the subdued Spider Spirit token to the hall allows you to spend three minutes creating a duplicate token for your companions.

Using the token that stores the Spider Spirit on the glass door is considered clearing the level.

[The game officially begins after the gate closes for the first time.]

This game does not restrict any killing, attacking, cheating, or mind control methods. Spider tokens can be stolen, looted, and destroyed. Any weapons, superpowers, and treasures are allowed.

The "eyeball" mentioned in the rules refers to the con artist's intact eyeball; if the eyeball is ruptured, the con artist's claim is invalid.

The first three people to submit the token that stores the Spider Spirit are considered the winners.

Those who do not achieve victory will all die.
