The Zerg Queen, who is assigned to me, wants to kill me!

Let's treat Chapter 21 as a date.

Let's treat Chapter 21 as a date.

"Ling Yi, I hope you can answer my questions truthfully, without being perfunctory or testing me. There's no need to be so wary of me; I have no ill intentions towards you."

Qi Min squatted down, looked up into Ling Yi's eyes, and bluntly expressed his meaning.

Yes, they don't get along.

Ling Yi looked at the male insect that was slightly looking up at him and answered truthfully.

"Okay, the second question: Do your father know about these injuries on your body caused by your brother, or did he tacitly approve of them?"

Qi Min sat down next to Ling Yi and continued to ask.

“I know, this is the punishment he tacitly approved,” Ling Yi’s voice was somewhat low.

"What about your father-in-law? Does he know about this too?" Qi Min asked again.

"He knew, but he was just a concubine."

Ling Yi's expression didn't change much when he said this.

"I understand," Qi Min said, deciding not to ask any more questions.

"Doesn't the powerful lord ask me why I was punished?" Ling Yi felt a sense of powerlessness every time he talked to Qi Min.

Even when you have the initiative, somehow the topic of conversation gradually changes.

Every answer Qi Min gave was unexpected, leaving him with a strange sense of powerlessness.

"I won't ask, and I don't want to know. Anyway, it's definitely not your problem," Qi Min said firmly.

"What if it's my fault?" Ling Yi pressed.

"If it's your fault, your younger brother has no right to lecture you, his older brother."

Qi Min couldn't help but sigh, feeling somewhat helpless at the man's persistent questioning.

“But…” Ling Yi wanted to say more.

"No buts, I plan to go today. Do you want to come with me?"

Qi Min interrupted him and made a decision directly.

"If the male ruler requests it, then the female ruler should naturally accompany him."

Ling Yi originally did not intend for Qi Min to go alone, and he himself was assigned in advance.

They lost the benefits they were about to obtain. Qi Min was an A-level male insect, so it was easy to guess what they were up to.

"Okay, then get ready and we'll set off." Qi Min got up and prepared to leave.

"Shall we set off now?" Ling Yi was somewhat surprised by Qi Min's decision.

“Yeah, it’s almost noon, we can go out for lunch, and after lunch you can take me shopping, we can treat it as a date.” Qi Min’s tone was very relaxed.

"But I haven't told you about my family yet."

Ling Yi's eyes widened slightly, his expression somewhat bewildered. He hadn't expected the topic to change so quickly, and he was momentarily caught off guard.

"Oh right, no rush. Just tell me on the way. I'm going to change my clothes and I'll wait for you downstairs," Qi Min said casually before turning and leaving.

Ling Yi watched Qi Min get up and leave, and thoughtfully closed the door behind him.

After leaving the room, Qi Min went back to his own room, picked out a set of casual clothes with good elasticity, and also took a bag and stuffed another set of clothes inside.

As Qi Min changed into casual clothes, he recalled that he seemed to have seen a rather special store when he was shopping at the mall before. What floor was it on?

Soon, Ling Yi drove with Qi Min in the passenger seat to Ling Zhenhao's villa.

Inside the car, Ling Yi earnestly explained his family's situation to Qi Min in detail.

"So your father and brother are only level B, then how come you are level so high?"

Qi Min frowned in confusion, a look of curiosity in his eyes.

“Because my female father was also an S-class,” Ling Yi replied softly, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

"In the past? And now?" Qi Min pressed.

“It’s B-level now.” Ling Yi’s tone was somewhat low.

"Was it a demotion caused by a major trauma?" Qi Min asked thoughtfully, his eyes slightly narrowed.

"How did the Lord know?" Ling Yi looked at Qi Min in surprise, his eyes full of astonishment.

"Just guessing, how much longer until we arrive?" Qi Min snapped out of his thoughts and looked out the window.

"We've arrived." As soon as Ling Yi finished speaking, the car slowly came to a stop.

Qi Min looked at the buildings outside the car window, his expression calm and indifferent.

Qi Min followed Ling Yi into the villa. The villa had a grand exterior, and inside, the spacious hall was resplendent with gold and jade.

The dazzling chandeliers and exquisite murals sum it up in two words: luxurious!

Qi Min looked around and thought it was bright and rich. Before he could say anything to Ling Yi, he heard a roar.

"Ling Yi? You dare to come back! Do you even know who you are?!" Ling Huiyao's eyes widened in anger, his words filled with questioning and surprise.

Qi Min frowned slightly, his gaze falling on Ling Huiyao. He saw Ling Huiyao's face full of anger, and his eyes were filled with hostility as he looked at Ling Yi.

Ling Yi's expression was cold and stern. He didn't look at Ling Huiyao or respond. Instead, he spoke to Qi Min.

"My lord, this is my younger brother, Ling Huiyao."

Qi Min carefully examined the seventeen or eighteen-year-old boy in front of him. He had a decent face and was not bad looking, but his eyes and facial expression completely ruined this decent appearance.

"Hey! I'm talking to you! Ling Yi, how could you just bring a male insect into... wait, the male lord? You're the A-rank male insect that matched with Ling Yi?!"

Ling Huiyao stared wide-eyed at Qi Min, his face filled with disbelief.

Ling Yi remained expressionless and silent.

Qi Min smiled and spoke warmly to Ling Huiyao.

"Oh my, so you're my little brother! I've heard so much about you, and seeing you today, you're certainly full of energy!"

“This… Your Excellency…” Ling Huiyao’s face showed an embarrassed and bewildered expression.

Ling Huiyao glanced at Ling Yi, then at Qi Min, secretly wondering how much Qi Min valued Ling Yi.

Ling Yi merely narrowed his eyes as he looked at the smile on Qi Min's face, without saying a word.

Suddenly, a deep voice sounded from behind Ling Huiyao.

"This must be Lord Qi Min?" A middle-aged man stepped forward and asked Qi Min.

"You are... Ling Yi's father?" Qi Min asked.

When Ling Huiyao saw his father arrive, he quickly stood aside, lowered his head, and stopped talking.

"Yes, Your Excellency arrived quite quickly."

The middle-aged man slightly raised his chin, a hint of cunning flashing in his eyes, and gestured for him to proceed.

"Please sit here, sir. Ling Yi, your father misses you very much. Don't you want to go see him?"

The middle-aged man's lips curled up slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips, his gaze fixed intently on Ling Yi, as if waiting for his reaction.

Ling Yi remained expressionless, but a barely perceptible glint flashed in his eyes.

He slightly raised his eyes, gave the speaker a cold look, and did not respond.

"What's wrong with the female father? By the way, male father, didn't you say the female father wanted to see me? Why hasn't he come out?" Qi Min chimed in curiously from the side.

Ling Yi turned around and glanced at Qi Min, then walked behind him and stood silently.

"Haha, his father just came back from a mission, he was a little injured and is resting in his room. Ling Yi, why don't you go see your father? He hasn't seen you in a long time."

Ling Zhenhao laughed heartily, but the smile didn't reach his eyes, revealing a hint of worldliness and shrewdness.
