Nirvana Heiress: Reborn and Returning to Stir Up a Storm

Chapter 93: The Intersection of Four People

Chapter 93: The Intersection of Four People

On a weekend morning, Luo Yurou dialed Gu Yanchuan's number, her tone light and cheerful: "Brother Yanchuan, I heard from Auntie that you don't have any work scheduled today. Would you like to come with me to an art exhibition? I happen to have two tickets."

Gu Yanchuan glanced at his schedule, remained silent for a moment, and then agreed: "Okay, what time?"

"At ten o'clock, the art exhibition is at the East City Museum." Luo Yurou's voice was filled with undisguised excitement.

After hanging up the phone, Gu Yanchuan stared at the screen, a complex mix of emotions swirling in his mind. Luo Yurou's enthusiasm involuntarily reminded him of Lin Chuyue's independent and calm demeanor; these two drastically different personalities created a strange contrast in his heart.

Inside the museum, Luo Yurou held Gu Yanchuan's arm and quietly explained the background story of each painting. Her passion for art surprised Gu Yanchuan, who even stopped from time to time to listen attentively.

"You really know a lot about these works," Gu Yanchuan couldn't help but praise.

Luo Yurou smiled brightly: "I've liked these things since I was little, you could say they're my hobbies. It's just that you didn't really notice them before."

Gu Yanchuan was slightly taken aback, but did not reply. He simply continued walking forward.

Just then, a familiar laugh came from the exhibition hall ahead. Gu Yanchuan looked up and was surprised to see Lin Chuyue and Li Zhanchuan.

Lin Chuyue, wearing a light-colored dress, stood in front of an abstract painting, listening attentively to Li Zhanchuan's explanation. She nodded occasionally and offered a few words of rebuttal; the two were relaxed and at ease together.

"Sister Chuyue?" Luo Yurou spoke first, her tone filled with surprise.

Lin Chuyue turned around and saw Gu Yanchuan and Luo Yurou standing to the side. A look of surprise flashed across her face: "Yurou? Gu Yanchuan?"

Li Zhanchuan glanced at Gu Yanchuan, nodded slightly, and said calmly, "It seems this place is quite lively today."

Luo Yurou smiled and stepped forward, taking Lin Chuyue's hand: "Sister Chuyue, you're here to see the art exhibition too? The paintings in this exhibition are really great!"

Lin Chuyue nodded: "Indeed. Li Zhanchuan invited me here, and he seems to be very familiar with these works."

Luo Yurou turned to look at Li Zhanchuan, a hint of admiration in her eyes: "President Li is indeed very knowledgeable and talented."

Li Zhanchuan remained calm as he looked at Lin Chuyue: "There are a few more good works to come. Would you like to take a look?"

Lin Chuyue smiled and nodded: "Okay."

The four walked forward together. Although the atmosphere was peaceful on the surface, there were subtle undercurrents beneath.

As they reached the end of the exhibition hall, Luo Yurou suddenly suggested, "How about we have afternoon tea together? There's a very famous coffee shop nearby."

Lin Chuyue smiled and said, "You guys go ahead, I still have some things to take care of."

Li Zhanchuan immediately said, "I'll take you."

Luo Yurou paused for a moment, her gaze sweeping back and forth between the two of them, but she didn't say anything.

Gu Yanchuan watched Lin Chuyue's departing figure, a complex emotion rising in his heart. Luo Yurou gently tugged at his arm, her voice tender: "Brother Yanchuan, let's go to the coffee shop."

Li Zhanchuan and Lin Chuyue walked out of the museum side by side, the sunlight shining on them, and a faint fragrance of flowers filling the air.

Lin Chuyue broke the silence: "Actually, you don't need to see me off. I can go back by myself."

Li Zhanchuan's tone was serious: "Giving you this is something I want to do, you don't need to refuse."

Lin Chuyue smiled helplessly: "Li Zhanchuan, you can be really stubborn sometimes."

Li Zhanchuan stopped and turned to look at her, his gaze deep: "Lin Chuyue, sometimes I feel that you are not so invincible. In fact, you also get tired, and you also need someone to accompany you, don't you?"

Lin Chuyue paused slightly, her eyes flickered, and then she said softly, "Perhaps, but I'm used to solving problems on my own."

Li Zhanchuan chuckled softly: "Then if one day you need someone to help you share the burden, I hope that person is me."

Lin Chuyue did not answer, but looked up at the distant sky, a feeling of indescribable excitement rising in her heart.

Meanwhile, Gu Yanchuan and Luo Yurou sat by the window of the cafe. Luo Yurou ordered a matcha latte and said with a smile, "Brother Yanchuan, I'm very happy today. Thank you for coming with me."

Gu Yanchuan nodded slightly, but his eyes were looking out the window, lost in thought.

Luo Yurou noticed his distraction and asked in a low voice, "What are you thinking about?"

Gu Yanchuan snapped out of his reverie and gently shook his head: "It's nothing, I just suddenly felt that some things might need to be reconsidered."

Luo Yurou tilted her head and looked at him gently, saying, "No matter what it is, I'm willing to listen."

Gu Yanchuan looked at her, a complex mix of emotions welling up inside him. Luo Yurou's sincerity and kindness warmed his heart, but at the same time, Lin Chuyue's image kept involuntarily appearing in his mind.

Perhaps, he really needs to make a decision.

Back in his office, Gu Yanchuan dialed Lin Chuyue's number: "Chuyue, I think we need to talk about the engagement."

Lin Chuyue paused for a moment, then said in a low voice, "That's what I think too."

The two agreed to meet at a certain time, and their status as an engaged couple seemed to have finally reached a turning point.

Their story is developing in a new direction, and in Lin Chuyue's heart, another kind of stirring is gradually rising—Li Zhanchuan's figure is becoming clearer and cannot be ignored.
