The sun slowly sank, dyeing the entire sky orange-red.Under the afterglow, countless clansmen stood with bated breath. The entire Chaotic Burial Mountain fell into heavy silence, devoid of life.

On the outer wall, Chen Xingzhen and the others watched from a distance. Beside him, Chen Tianyu said, "Clan Leader, I think the Shi family is planning a night raid!"

"Let's hope so." Chen Xingzhen replied. He hoped it was true as well.

Just as Chen Tianyu was about to say more, a tremor slowly emanated from within the compound.

"They're coming!"

The tremor puzzled many of the clansmen. But when they stood on the outer wall and looked toward the distance—toward the dense mass of figures charging straight for the clan—their faces immediately hardened.

The tremor had been caused by over a hundred martial artists running at full speed. The sound of their feet striking the earth was like a series of thuds.

With just over a hundred people, the momentum was still imposing, adding another layer of gravity to the hearts of countless Chen Clan members.

But the next moment, Chen Tianjing's loud shout rang out from the outer wall:

"All clansmen, be on guard!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than members of the Shi family came into view.

Rather than the Innate Realm elders, the clan’s Chaotic Burial Mountain fighters were running at the very front.

Yet, these few had condensed qi and blood around them. Several had already achieved great mastery of the Chaotic Burial Mountain, with their internal qi and blood in a mercury-like state.

The other Chaotic Burial Mountain fighters were by no means weak, either.

However, Chen Xingzhen's gaze did not linger on them. Instead, he looked toward the distant hillside.

There stood Shi Hezhang, who had visited the clan the previous day, with seven other figures beside him.

Although Chen Xingzhen had not sensed the cultivation realms of these seven individuals yet, he had anticipated their arrival.

They were undoubtedly the Innate Realm martial artists sent by the Shi family—more than he had expected by one or two.

As Chen Xingzhen studied them, Shi Chengyi and his companions were also observing the battle.

"Uncle, didn't we agree to act at night?" one of the clan elders asked, puzzled.

Shi Hezhang spoke slowly. “The Chen family has long been aware of our presence. Whether day or night makes no difference. Moreover, when I scouted the Chen household yesterday, the family’s divine stone issued a warning. The Chen Clan’s totem may grow stronger under divine power at night.”

The elders no longer questioned him, but continued to watch the battle unfold.

As clan elders, they were not reckless. After all, martial artists in the Innate Realm were not as common as cabbages, and the Chen family was by no means without the strength to resist.

But when they finally strike, the family’s victory will be sealed!

On top of the outer wall, many members of the Chen Clan stood with solemn expressions. They remembered the Clan Leader’s orders and did not rush forward to meet the enemy. Instead, they waited quietly for the Shi family to make their move.

Soon, Shi family martial artists appeared outside the Chen compound.

From the moment they entered the Chen Clan's sight to the time they reached the base of the outer wall, only a few breaths had passed.

From afar, the Chen family seemed no larger than ants. As they drew closer, however, many of the Shi clansmen realized that the Chen family’s walls were impressively tall.

Still, this did not deter them.

They were just stones and mud mixed together. Did the Chens really think such a thing could stop them?

Moreover, behind them stood countless clansmen. Their task was clear at that moment: to break open a path and carve a bloody road into the Chen household so their people could surge inside.

That was their mission!

Upon reaching the base of the outer wall, the few men at the front unleashed a surge of violent qi and blood. They struck the wall fiercely with their fists and legs.

Bursts of qi and blood erupted, dyeing the ground below crimson.

Behind them, many of the Shi clansmen quickened their pace at the sight. Within the family, killing enemies was rewarded; those who performed exceptionally could earn abundant clan resources. Such was the rule of the Shi family.

The Chen Clan was weak, with few members. If they were late to act, others might take the chance to make a name for themselves.

BANG!

CRACK!

Several attacks slammed into the stone wall within the outer defenses in an instant.

They believed that these highly skilled clansmen would easily carve a path for them.

Yet, as fists and kicks landed, no breach appeared in the wall. Instead, cries of pain escaped the mouths of those who had struck it.

"Ah!"

"Damn it! What kind of stone is this? How can it be so hard?"

Several Shi family martial artists of the Blood Coagulation Realm looked at the fresh wounds on their fists and legs, then at the deep dents left on the heavy stone wall, and cursed angrily.

Yet the wall's sheer toughness quickly shattered their earlier assumptions.

This stone wall is no ordinary thing. Even with qi and blood protecting our bodies, we’re not fools. There’s no need to smash ourselves against it and waste our strength.

Though the wall appeared tall, it was nothing more than a few steps for Blood Coagulation Realm warriors.

Without hesitation, one Shi clansman planted his foot against the wall and sprinted upward toward the top.

Seeing this, the others followed suit, scaling the wall from different points and intent on storming the Chen household.

On top of the outer wall, the Chen clansmen had made their preparations long ago.

Just as the first few Shi clansmen were about to climb over the outer wall and break through the Chen family’s initial line of defense, several large stones suddenly came crashing down from above.

The stone wall was slick, leaving those at the front with little chance of evading them. The descending bones struck them like a blow to the head, knocking several back down.

Yet, the failure of these few did not cause the others to retreat. On the contrary, even more Shi clansmen pressed forward, planting their feet against the wall and racing upward.

The Shi family’s numbers were overwhelming. Despite their long preparation for this assault, the Chen clansmen found it difficult to repel the attackers immediately, especially since most of them were Blood Coagulation Realm martial artists, with more than a few at the Late stage.

Soon, a Blood Coagulation Realm warrior at Great Accomplishment vaulted over the wall and landed inside the Chen compound.

Before he could take in his surroundings, however, a Chen clansman rushed forward to meet him, and the two clashed fiercely.

The Chen family had only a little more than ten Blood Coagulation Realm martial artists, and they were far behind in terms of cultivation.

At that moment, Chen Tianquan, who had recently advanced to the mid-stage Blood Coagulation Realm, stepped forward to face the Shi family’s expert at Great Completion.

"Heh!"

Sensing Chen Tianquan’s cultivation, the Shi clansman sneered disdainfully.

But Chen Tianquan’s expression remained calm. He did not retreat, even though the opponent was two minor realms above him.

"I am already one of the strongest in the clan aside from the warriors in the Innate Realm. If I falter here, how can the others hope to resist?"

As Chen Tianquan engaged in battle, several more Shi family martial artists broke through the outer wall and surged into the Chen compound.

The moment they breached the defenses, however, Chen family Blood Coagulation Realm warriors rushed forward to meet them.

This was the strategy the clan had prepared for a long time.

However, the Shi family’s numbers were overwhelming. Their Blood Coagulation Realm warriors alone numbered in the dozens. As the defenses atop the wall weakened, more and more Shi martial artists poured into the Chen household.
