"and you are telling me this because?" yu dong couldn’t understand the reason. why was murong si willing to disclose such a piece of sensitive information? what made him do something like this? because even if he was thinking with his toes, he would know that if he told something like this to his in-laws, he would be looked down on by his wife and her family.
murong si smiled at yu dong. sure enough, yu dong went straight to the point.
"i need you to stop my family from seeing me after i marry miss yu tong," murong si put forth his request in front of yu dong. "i don’t care if she takes someone else as her official husband or mer concubine. i have no interest in women or maintaining a loving relationship with them. of course, it doesn’t mean that i will stop her from fulfilling our marital duties.

yu dong tapped on the table’s surface. she scrunched her brows and questioned murong si, "and you are willing to give up this gold mine to me? wouldn’t it benefit you more if you use it?"
"i am just a mer, madam yu. i have no one to support me, even if i use it sooner or later someone would find out about it and then try to ruin me such that they can take control of this mine," murong si stated with a sigh. "it’s better if i wash it off my hands and get what i want more than a gold mine."
"and you want separation from your family?"
"that is indeed right. i want to get out of their clutches."
