a sudden silence fell inside the room and even shen li who was already leaving paused in his stride and let out a soft chuckle. he knew what yu tong was thinking in that head of hers, most probably she thought that murong si was here to look for her but that mer had no intentions of meeting her.

inside the room, yu tong stared at the mer whose expression was blank like a slate and was stunned. she tried to search murong si's expression to make sure if he was pretending to be nonchalant or was he truly uncaring but no matter how she looked at his expression, she did not find anything.

second madam yu was really upset with what old madam murong said to her but she had no words to explain herself. she pursed her lips and after a short while said to old madam murong, "ah tong is my daughter, even if we are separated in the end she would have to listen to me right? there is no way she would ignore me."

she thought that her words would ease the two women but murong tai and old madam murong ended up laughing and that too at her face!
