"Alright, alright. There is no need for you to glare anymore," Xiao Hua found it amusing that Yu Dong was glaring at Li Xu. He pulled her to the other side and said, "Why are you looking at her like that? It’s not like she and I have anything to do with one another."
Yu Dong of course knew this but she did not like Li Xu. That woman seemed to be looking down on Xiao Hua but at the same time, she couldn’t help but feel attracted to him. The way she glanced at her just now was very unsettling. If Yu Dong was not rich enough then Li Xu would have certainly made a joke out of Xiao Hua, this alone was enough to make her look at Li Xu with a glare.
"You are too kind," said Yu Dong with a sigh. "Did you not see that she was looking down on you just now?" Even though Li Xu did not say it outright, she was staring at Xiao Hua rather contemptuously as if he would jump in her arms if she were to say that she was willing to accept him.
"You should have slapped her for touching you, does she think that she can do whatever she wants just because you were once a courtesan?"
Yu Dong noticed that Xiao Hua was not happy when Li Xu clasped his hands but the woman did not let go it was as if she thought that there was nothing wrong with what she was doing.
Hearing her words, Xiao Hua curled his lips mockingly and said to Yu Dong, "Who here respects me? They only give me a face because you are my soon-to-be wife. As for those who are unaware of this, they act as if they can do anything." In the past, Xiao Hua used to slap women willy-nilly but as if stood next to Yu Dong, he slowly matured.
