Chapter 1550 - 1549: Everything Happened
"Actually, you don't have to be so scared of me like you are now. What happened last night? Is it convenient to talk here? If not, we can talk inside."What happened last night? How could Tang Rao not know? As the saying goes, when the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. Chun Ping and Gui San were the cicadas, and Wang Han and Yin Qiao were Tang Rao. As for Tang Rao, he was naturally the oriole hiding behind, ready to pounce on all those in front as his feast.
He wore a sly grin. Seeing Wang Han blushing and refusing to speak, he simply took her hand and led her into the inner room.
One of Tang Rao's self-created shameless principles was that when a woman is hesitant, it's a man's cue to make the first move.
He thought that no matter the time or place, this idea would always hold true.
Wang Han hadn't even returned to her senses before Tang Rao was already pulling her into the room.
She should be furious. With any guy, not to mention a stranger getting close to her, she wouldn't react like this. But strangely, as Tang Rao pulled Wang Han's hand and led her inside, she didn't resist at all.
"Come, let's sit down and talk, have a good chat."
The 'good-hearted' Tang Rao brewed a pot of fine tea. The fragrance enveloped both him and Wang Han, clearing her muddled mind quite a bit.
"Where are you putting your hand?"
Tang Rao sat Wang Han down on a long, soft bench, comfortable and smooth, infused with the unique scent of Tang Rao.
That scent reached Wang Han's nose, nearly making her lose her bearings.
"Didn't you have something to say to me? Let's talk business first."
Tang Rao was all serious nonsense, adding in some mischief. Why else would he rest his left hand on Wang Han's right leg while discussing serious matters?
Wang Han knew Tang Rao's nature too well. She understood that talking sense to him was pointless. Once he had his mind set on something, he'd achieve it, even if stopped repeatedly. At times like this, it was best to turn a blind eye, reveal what she knew to Tang Rao, and let him handle the two servants.
"Nothing much, just felt a bit uneasy last night and went to the grove. But there, I discovered some shady activity, and the people involved seemed unusual. I asked Yin Qiao to record the scene to send to you, so you can decide after watching."
Wang Han didn't elaborate on the content of the recording, as she felt it unnecessary. Tang Rao would understand her intentions after viewing it, wouldn't he?
Soon, Wang Han sent the recording privately to Tang Rao through Illusion City. Though he already knew its contents, he pretended otherwise, exclaiming in disbelief.
"I can't believe there's such scum in my Kao Shan Sect. I'm so mad, I'm so mad!"
Tang Rao exclaimed repeatedly, wishing he could unleash all his energies, and his superior acting even scared Wang Han, making her think he might throw a fit.
"Whether you're mad or not, that's your business. I'm just here to deliver evidence. Now that it's done, I should leave."
Wang Han was truly naive, or perhaps inexperienced.
She hadn't realized the implications of giving Tang Rao the footage. She thought she was merely delivering it, unaware she'd ignited a spark in Tang Rao's heart. Without extinguishing it, where could Tang Rao direct his flames now?
"There's a fire, and you're not putting it out? Where are you planning to go now?"
Wang Han moved Tang Rao's hand from her thigh and stood up, but he quickly pulled her back with his left hand, enveloping her in his embrace again.
The distinct male scent lingered in Wang Han's nose, making her knees weak.
"Where's this fire you're talking about? Since I've delivered what I came for, shouldn't you let me go?"
Wang Han actually wanted to say, all this marriage stuff between us is fake, and we both know it. Now you're so close, touching me—don't you find your actions inappropriate?
"There's a fire here. You light a fire and want to leave? No way."
When Tang Rao's temper flared, no one could stop him. The warm breath cascaded over Wang Han's neck and earlobe, making her knees buckle. Strong as she was, she couldn't find the direction anymore. Even the man's appearance before her blurred.
All she felt was heat in her hands, then her feet leaving the ground as Tang Rao picked her up and headed towards the inner room.
Regarding what was about to happen, Wang Han could no longer think. She now regretted not heeding Yin Qiao's advice, regretting watching that footage?
If she hadn't seen it, she wouldn't understand what was about to happen. Unaware, she wouldn't imagine it further. But now, knowing, she couldn't stop envisioning her and Tang Rao as those in the footage, nor could she stop herself from responding to him.
She'd tried to control herself, but what was the use? Did she think she could?
Only when the heat subsided and clarity returned would she consider what she previously hadn't. But at that point, her body belonged to Tang Rao, and nothing she did could rectify it.
When Wang Han regained her senses, she noticed Tang Rao's bed was a mess. Looking at herself, she wasn't in much better shape.
The entire episode with Tang Rao seemed like an endless dream Wang Han wished to break but couldn't bear to wake up from.
"So, how was it? Peeking at the little footage! Now, as the lady, share with your husband which is better—watching others or performing yourself!"
After the earlier bout, Tang Rao wasn't afraid Wang Han would suddenly spring from the bed to violently retaliate against him.
"Didn't fully enjoy it earlier? How about we go again? Once you savor it, maybe you can compare more easily?"
Tang Rao, ever brazen, dared to say anything, while Wang Han, now fully awake, ached all over, reminding her not to let her mind wander again.
"Tang Rao, you bastard!"
Wang Han threw everything she could grab at Tang Rao, including all clothing, both hers and his.
"Such a stingy woman! Just now, when she wanted something, she didn't push me away or call me a bastard!"
Tang Rao, never one to shut up, continued to provoke her: "I know you want to praise my prowess, but you're too shy. It's okay, it's just us two here. I won't laugh at you."
His words nearly drove Wang Han to spit blood in anger.
