Chapter 280 Rescue and News
Chapter 280 Rescue and News
The days passed quickly. It was very cold in mid-October. When I woke up in the morning, there was cold rain mixed with fine snow outside.
Fortunately, the rain and snow stopped when the students were about to set off, but the cold wind made everyone want to hide their heads in their scarves.
At the door, Filch held a secret detector and checked every student.
Draco sent Gloria here and kissed her forehead, "I'll wait for you to come back."
Gloria then let go of his hand and said, "I'll bring you a gift when I come back."
When he arrived at the door, Filch saw that it was her and scanned her with the secret detector casually to let her pass.
Harry and the others came out as well. When they reached the stairs and saw Draco, Harry was the first to greet him, "Hi, Draco."
The boy took a deep breath and replied calmly: "Yeah."
"Leah!"
Hermione was pleasantly surprised and waved at Gloria. Filch stopped the person and let him go after he had passed the inspection.
Filch never liked them, and it was Ron's turn to give him a hard poke with the secret sensor.
"Oh!" Ron covered his chest, "You're too strong!"
The secret sensor didn't respond. Filch snorted and ignored him. Harry frowned tightly, "You did it on purpose."
Filch responded by jabbing him harder.
Seeing this, Hermione said helplessly, "The secret detector that the school bought specially, is it used to poke people hard?"
This thing has been seen in the Ministry of Magic. Now that the situation is serious, it has been introduced.
Gloria said, "You have disliked each other for many years, and you can't change it now. Anyway, there are not many opportunities to go to Hogsmeade."
Harry and Ron came over, holding their painful parts, and she waved at Draco.
As she turned to leave, Hermione spoke with envy, "You've been together since before the end of your second year, and now you're in your sixth year, and your relationship is still so good."
She still had average feelings towards Draco, but she had to admit that he was affectionate enough and he and Gloria seemed to have never had any conflicts when they were together.
Ron rubbed his chest, "Since the beginning of second year, all he had eyes for was Leah."
Harry felt pain not only in his chest, but also in his shoulders and arms. He still kept on saying, "Yes."
"What about you?" Gloria looked at the two of them. "Hermione and I both have lovers. Do you plan to not have a girlfriend before graduation?"
Hearing this, Ron became depressed. It might have touched his sore spot.
Hermione showed an indescribable expression, "Harry is very popular, especially after the return of the You-Know-Who was confirmed, many girls were obsessed with his two battles with the You-Know-Who."
Harry's face immediately turned red, "No! It's not me, it's Leah."
Gloria waved her hands, "Not only me, you have also made a move. I heard a girl in the library trying to make you take aphrodisiac so that you can have a romantic love."
"Professor Slughorn said that the infatuation brought by the love potion is just an illusion." Hermione disdained such behavior, "But Harry won't be stupid enough to drink someone else's potion."
They soon arrived at Hogsmeade Village in the cold wind. Harry said, "Leah and I will go to the Hog's Head Pub first. I'll meet you at the candy store after we're done."
Hermione and Ron nodded, said goodbye, and left.
But the two of them didn't speak, and Hermione just walked forward on her own.
"Did they have a fight?" was Gloria's first reaction.
"No." Harry scratched his head. "I don't know either. Anyway, Ron has been like this since the end of last school year. He always avoids Hermione and doesn't want to talk to her much."
Gloria nodded. It seemed that Ron was not completely indifferent to Hermione, but it was just a missed opportunity.
In the Pig's Head Bar, the owner was sitting behind the bar, but he stood up when he saw them coming.
"Two butterbeers!" Sirius shouted from his seat.
Perhaps the situation outside was tense, so the only customers in the Pig's Head Bar at this moment were Sirius and the two of them.
Sirius looked energetic, his grey eyes smiling.
"How is this year? Are there any perverted teachers again?"
Gloria said: "How can Hogwarts recruit someone like Umbridge again?"
Harry thought of Professor Snape, who looked unhappy. After thinking for a while, he asked his godfather, "How are you doing recently? Have any Death Eaters found you?"
"Of course." Sirius pushed his curly hair back in a cool manner, "But I never act alone. Remus and I fought them off twice and even captured one."
Sirius had only told them these things until now. Gloria asked, "Are you hurt?"
"No, with Remus and I's strength, it's easy to deal with them." Sirius said this with great satisfaction, "We even prevented them from committing murders several times, and once saved a student's mother."
"Hannah Abbott?" She was the first person Harry thought of.
"It seems so." Sirius said, "We sent her to St. Mungo's Hospital, and the Ministry of Magic helped to notify her children."
He continued, "Those despicable guys were lying in wait in a village where wizards lived. They attacked when they saw a wizard appear. Remus and I happened to run into them, otherwise that woman would not have escaped."
Harry said: "Hannah Abbott is still in the hospital and may move abroad with her mother when she recovers."
"Overseas?" Sirius said in a strange voice, "Overseas is not stable either. Tell your classmates not to go to France. Dumbledore was invited there."
As the wizard who defeated Grindelwald, the first thing the French Ministry of Magic thought of was to invite him over.
"No wonder I haven't seen the headmaster recently." Harry murmured in a low voice, and then asked: "But Headmaster Dumbledore defeated him and couldn't find him. Will it be useful to ask him to go over? We also have a... mysterious man here."
"We were anxious to find Dumbledore to calm the public." Sirius said slowly, "After all, Dumbledore did defeat that man. The Daily Prophet did not report it. The second call sign appeared in France, and the Aurors could not find a place to meet up."
Gloria thought of the scepter she had given, wondering if it could have brought everyone to the new world.
Compared to her calmness, Harry seemed very worried. "So... is he working with the mysterious man?"
"I've thought so too." Sirius turned the glass rhythmically. "Dumbledore said that this is impossible. First of all, the You-Know-Who would never choose to cooperate with others. Only others would submit to him. Grindelwald can't get along with such a person. So Dumbledore suspected that there were other forces quietly accumulating strength and truly cooperating with Grindelwald."
Gloria remained calm, and the principal was very perceptive.
Sirius said, "Several European ministries of magic have stated that many of the witches in the past were liquidated. Decades have passed and they have all developed differently. Some have fallen into decline while others are still prosperous. Moreover, Grindelwald has been in Nurmengard for more than fifty years. He is different from the You-Know-Who. He was defeated in front of everyone."
Harry asked doubtfully, "How can we gather people? Is it possible that we just gather people but no one comes?"
"That's what's strange. There must be people who went there, and the number is increasing, but the French Aurors lost track of them." Sirius said in a serious tone, "This is what Dumbledore is investigating."
